Job Title – LEAD – ETHICS & COMPLIANCE Jobs in DUBAI, UAE

Responsibilities:

  1. Overall Management of BE&C Function
    Manage the implementation of assigned ENOC Business Ethics and Compliance program
    Advise and implement strategic initiatives to foster an ethical and compliant culture related to the Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and ethics and compliance policies and procedures for employees, contractors and other stakeholders.
    Coordinate with internal and external ENOC stakeholders in order to meet BE&C objectives
    Coordinate with third party providers including the procurement, budget and approval processes such as for Ethics Hotline System, Benchmarking Studies and Consultations.
  2. Standards, Policies, Procedures, & Systems
    Advises on the creation and/or adoption of newly required procedures, policies and governance mandates in order to effectively deliver BE&C programs.
    Develop and maintain BE&C policies and procedures and its related activities based on adequate benchmarking and coordination with relevant corporate departments and business units for internal stakeholders.
    Implementation of systems, controls, and programs to ensure adherence to Ethics and Compliance Framework, policies and procedures.
    Conduct periodic reviews to BE&C policies including coordination with corporate departments
    Develop and maintain automated BE&C/COBC forms
    Participate in review Code of Business Conducts
    Identify risks related to ethics and compliance and recommend controls
  3. BEC Program Administration
    Conduct assessments of ‘Ethics & Compliance’ across ENOC Group
    Conduct benchmarking studies to ENOC Code and Programs.
    Manage BE&C Champions and activities
    Manage and independently drives forward ad-hoc projects which may be required beyond the designated assignments
  4. Communications, Education & Training
    Develop communication campaigns for initiatives and programs undertaken
    Participate in continuing education to maintain professional competence
    Manage the eLearning platform and modules.
    Develop and conduct ethics awareness for ENOC Group including ENOC Leadership.
  5. Monitoring, Auditing and Internal Reporting System
    Conduct Compliance and Ethics Reviews for internal stakeholders
    Develop and implement systemic mechanisms to identify and manage conflict of interest risks for internal stakeholders
    Supervise Conflict of Interest Disclosure cases including receiving cases, analyzing conflict, discussion with management, advising on decision making and ensuring proper documentation accordingly
    Manage ENOC Ethics Hotline system agreement with external party provider and documentation
    Implement and manage critical BE&C Policy mandates such as Gifts & Entertainment Policy and Anti-Fraud Policy within the organization
    Manage the Gift & Entertainment Procedure and system
    Develop reports on progress related to Business Ethics tasks and activities
    Support in furnishing reports to ENOC Board Audit Committee, Group CEO and Business Ethics Committee
  6. Response & Investigation
    Manage the reported cases system and case monitoring mechanisms.
    Supports MEC in managing and reporting ENOC Ethics Hotline cases to Business Ethics Committee by evaluating the cases, proposing proper action plans and monitoring progress.
    Conduct investigation and fact findings reviews of fraud or non-compliance incidents and provide recommendations for conective or preventive actions,
    Handle extremely sensitive, confidential matters and exercises sound discretion and judgment.
    Coordinates with internal ENOC personnel and outside counsel in gathering, preparing and maintaining internal monitoring/compliance/investigative materials.
    Maintain appropriate records of the Ethics and Compliance Program which are required to be filed and maintained in confidence

 

Educational requirements:

  • A bachelor degree in Business Administration
  • Compliance Certification is preferred and experience in conducting and managing investigations. Travel to ENOC locations for Ethics & Compliance Program awareness, training, assessments and compliance is expected.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills will be required to influence programs and controls across the Group and deal with management at all levels. Strong personal character and a commitment to integrity are essential as well as the ability to multi-task and manage several initiatives simultaneously. Being an effective team player is a must in addition to being comfortable with workin with stakeholders in all levels of seniority .

 

Experience requirements:

  • 5-7 years work experience and minimum of two years experience in a compliance department, internal audit function or law firm practice group.
