Job – Construction Superintendent Structural Specialist

Job Description:

Leads the monitoring and oversight of the NFXP Topsides contractor team field planning, coordination, and execution activities within designated area of responsibility.
Appraises the performance of the client Topsides contractor team in safety, quality, cost (as applicable) and schedule

Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Head of Construction Batam and updates S-curve performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress
Ensures that the project Offshore Topsides contractor’s insulation, coatings and architectural team develops, implements and sustains its Safety and Quality program at site.
Review the NFXP Offshore Topsides contractor’s construction deliverables such as Method statements, construction procedures, Lifting schemes etc. as per company specifications

Key Job Accountabilities

Provides safety leadership by example to the project Offshore Project Team and the project Offshore Topsides contractor and its sub-contractors and site vendors.

Responsible for ensuring the project Offshore contractor team Implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for HSES project deliverables.
As client Offshore Project team construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the client Offshore contractor team and its subcontractor(s) in their area of responsibility.
Reports on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions to Head of Construction Batam and participate & contribute to weekly construction discipline review meetings.

Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review, and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective execution. This includes authorization of client permits wherever necessary.
Reviews and approves the project Offshore contractor team’s construction sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements and participate in constructability reviews, HAZID workshops during construction to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in their area of responsibility.
Help in identifying and organising all required construction support (Third Party support, Joint-Venture partner technical support, etc.) in liaison with the project Offshore Topsides.

Review construction risks and assist in providing mitigation measures. Report Risks to the project Offshore Head of Construction Batam, review the EPCI level 3 schedule prepared by the Contractor.
Monitors site material handling, preservation, and warehousing procedures with respect to their area to facilitate construction progress.

Job Qualifications:

Engineering/Construction degree with relevant experience or Recognised Diploma in Engineering/Construction management with prior work experience.

Hold a valid NACE or Equivalent level III Coating certificate.

Knowledge and/or Experience

Minimum 10yrs. experience in coating, insulation and architectural works of offshore Jackets, Topsides, Pipelines and Sub- Sea structures.

Exhaustive experience for the preparation, fabrication, and construction of Architectural works of offshore buildings and coating and insulation of offshore structures including piping and Equipment with EPCI contractors.

Technical and Business Skills

Able to supervise a multi-cultural team committed to meeting project objectives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.

Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
