Job – Machine – Shop Foreman

Job Description

Machine – Shop Foreman

Qualification

• Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or other related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machine-Shop / Processing Foreman in Steel Fabrication companies.
• GCC experience is preferable

Key Expectations

• Excellent knowledge & exposure to plasma cutting machine, waterjet cutting machine, press brakes, shearing machine, radial drills, hydraulic presses, turning and milling machine.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
• Good interpersonal skills
• Works with minimal direction, independently determines methods and procedures on projects and provides guidance and expertise to others.
• Requires a willingness to work on a flexible schedule.
• Good with Computer (Microsoft applications & email).

Added Advantage

• Must have strong technical & data analytical skills.
• Must be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maximize productivity of machinery and make zero idle time.
• Proper planning to be done and avoid any delays in process flow.
• Determine which machines will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility
• Should do proper preventive & corrective maintenance and periodic inspections
• Proper reporting, training & stopping the misuse of machines to avoid breakdowns
• Educate employees on proper methods in which to operate machinery
• Minimize scraps by using of proper cutting plan.
• Timely reporting to respective managers and submission of reports.
