Job – Maintenance Engineer

Job Description:

The Maintenance Engineer leads the way in the continuous improvement of all production machineries. He provides the necessary electrical and mechanical multi-skilled expertise and support while ensuring smooth plant operation and maintaining the physical assets of the company under the direction of the Engineering Coordinator.

This role exists to perform the tasks of managing all activities of the facility including and related to preventive and break-down maintenance with problem solving ability and ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize maximum productivity and quality at its extent. The role is expected to take pride in good quality workmanship and bring about engineering solution to provide a high quality product that meets and even exceeds the expectations of our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Responsibility 1: MAINTENANCE

Work Standard: Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by monitoring and performing planned and preventive maintenance on a schedule basis. Ensure to follow Conditioned Based Maintenance (CBM).

Responsibility 2: PLANNING AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Work Standard: Designing and implementing preventive maintenance system as per Computerized Maintenance Management System. Fault finding / problem solving of equipment and machine break down. Plans, executes and implement all engineering projects.

Responsibility 3: COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION

Work Standard: Liaise with suppliers for spares and subcontractors for outsourced jobs. Ensure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable UAE federal laws or local codes and company regulations and requirements.

Responsibility 4: PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Work Standard: Trains technician and technical associates, assign job as per skills, and monitors the performance of the team through KPI System and ensures cost effective optimization practices are adhered to, creates Continuous Improvement culture and implement KAIZEN among staffs.

As a subject matter expert he should be able to suggest improvements for repeated issues and he should be able to understand the technical drawing(mechanical & electrical). He should have knowledge of KAIZEN concepts and should be able to implement the same.

Responsibility 5: SAFETY AND WORKING CONDITION

Work Standard: Ensure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal or local codes, regulations and requirements. Conduct safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the same. Follow and maintain GMP, ISO, QMS, HACCP, 5-S’ and Work Safety standards. Adhere to cost effective practices as well as continuous improvement and Kaizen encouraged in the department.

Responsibility 6: INTERNAL & EXTERNAL AUDIT COMPLIANCES

Work Standard: Assist the Engineering Coordinator onthe preparation of documents and facing the Internal & External Audits.Complying on the NCR’s and suggestion made during the audit and compliance and knowledge about  QMS ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000:2017 V.4.1, EMS ISO14001:2015,  FSMA Registration, HACCP Certification, HALAAL, KOSHER andOther External Bodies.
