Purchasing officer – Job Description
- Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
- Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals
- Coordination and organization between the financial department and the suppliers in disbursing the financial dues resulting from the supply operations of the company
- Predicting and gathering information on competitive markets, market conditions and competitiveness.
- Building a solid and strong relationship between the company and suppliers to achieve mutual interests with the registered suppliers while maintaining multiple sources.
- Tracking the orders and ensuring timely deliveries
- Issuing purchase reports including the cost analysis
- Ensuring stock availability and place orders as and when required 9-Maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
Purchasing officer – Job Requirement
- Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy, and systems.
- 3 – 5 years previous experience as purchasing officer, or related position.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
