Job Title – Roustabout Jobs in Dammam , Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Perform emergency duties as per Station Bill and Emergency Response Plan (ERP). 
  • Effectively participate in the Stop Observe Act Report (SOAR) program and encourage active participation. 
  • Comply with and effectively contribute to the continuous improvement of RMS, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) related policies and procedures, and relevant authority regulatory requirements. 
  • Maintain familiarity with and comply with company lifting procedures. 
  • Maintain familiarity with the use, type and location of all firefighting and life-saving emergency equipment. 
  • Maintain familiarity of the current color code, the safe use of lifting gear and procedures to be followed for the quarantine of defective gear. 
  • Assist in general crane work including working supply boats with hoses, general lifts and heavy lifts, unloading and loading containers. 
  • Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers, focus on doing things right the first time, every time, and contribute actively to continual improvement activities. 
  • Comply with company’s Code of Conduct. 
  • Utilize and participate in job planning processes. 
  • Effectively participate in the Risk Assessment and Permit to Work processes. 
  • Show active participation in Hazard Management and Stop Work activities. 
  • Effectively contribute to Management of Change and Non-Conformance Management through compliance with Change and Non-Conformance Procedures. 
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of work equipment, tools, and rig structures, as directed. 
  • Assist with mixing of mud and chemicals as required and use the correct PPE. 
  • Support helicopter operations. 
  • Support marine operations. 
  • Mentor less experienced employees assigned to a new job position. 
  • Demonstrate leadership through personal responsibility and accountability. 
  • Participate in competence program. 
  • Chips, paints, sweeps, cleans, and mops decks, bulkheads, handrails, and other rig structures. 
  • Assists Crane Operator in offloading boats of all personnel and equipment, including drill pipe, casing, tubing, and cutting boxes. 
  • Relieves Floorhands on the rig floor when instructed. May assist Electrician, Mechanic, or others in maintenance projects under direct supervision of the Crane Operator or Assistant Crane Operator. 
  • Responsible for arriving on time to crew change locations. 
  • Works an offshore rotational schedule. 
  • Assist in other areas as directed.

 

Educational requirements:

  • High School

 

Experience requirements:

  • Training requirements will be provided. Any previous training will be evaluated by the ARO Training Department to verify it meets company minimum requirements.· Two years in a manual labor position, preferably working outdoors and away from home for extended periods of time.

Desired Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent team working and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to speak and understand spoken English. Bilingual with the additional ability to communicate in Arabic is preferred. 
  • Physically capable of being transported to an offshore rig by boat or helicopter. 
  • Must be capable of working in a confined Marine environment. 
  • Must have excellent conflict resolution skills and be able to diplomatically handle confrontation. 
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all the employer’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel. 
  • Be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion. 
  • Be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. 
  • Physically capable of performing emergency procedures including evacuations, fire drills, and other Emergencies. 
  • Must be able to work with a multi-cultural workforce and respect other cultural and nationality differences.
