Job Title – Skilled Trades Apprentices Jobs in Calgary, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Follow all shop safety and job specific safety protocols
- Read, and be able to interpret drawings and job specifications to satisfactorily complete assigned work
- Select type and size of materials required for the task (depending on trade)
- Measure, cut, and thread materials using hand and power tools (depending on trade)
Educational requirements:
- Must be enrolled as an Apprentice in Alberta or have graduated from a SAIT pre-employment course for one of the trades listed above
- Tickets in WHMIS, TDG, H2S Alive are assets
- Possess excellent communication, organizational and people skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude. (Specific to mechanical roles)
- Ability to work overtime or shift work as required
- Results oriented and a team player
- Due to the safety sensitive nature of the position; applicant must be able to pass a fitness test and a Drug & Alcohol test
