About Qatar Petroleum Company

Petroleum Company was established by Emiri Decree No. (10) issued in 1974, and it is a national institution owned by the State of Qatar. And it is concerned with all stages of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.

Employment procedures in Qatar Petroleum

The Human Resources Recruitment Department at Qatar Petroleum manages the stages of the recruitment process from identifying the company’s needs to job specifications by selecting applicants and interviewing them. Line managers/department managers enjoy the full support of the HR department throughout the hiring process. And each applicant is selected based solely on his aptitude, merit, experience, and capabilities. 

Depending on the type of position and the qualifications and skills required, the applicants, who are selected may undergo evaluation procedures (written tests and personal interviews). In order to determine their qualifications and suitability for the job.

Expatriate applicants are required to complete some formalities related to their work permits and work visas. In accordance with the standards of the Qatari Passports Department.

The first stage:

Submitting the application to apply for the position you want (3 applications maximum) on the Qatar petroleum website in accordance with the certificates you hold and your qualifications and experiences, in the section “Current vacancies”. After submitting the order, you will receive an email informing you that we have received your order along with an order number created by the system.

The second stage:

Your application will be reviewed for suitability to the job requirements. Due to the large volume of CVs received, only the most suitable applicants for the jobs will be contacted directly. If you are not contacted after 3 months, it is clear that the request may be considered unacceptable.

The third stage:

The interview procedure may include a telephone interview with a recruitment officer and/or a line manager at Qatar Petroleum and/or a personal interview that takes place at the organization. The main purpose of the interview is to assess the applicant’s technical and cultural suitability for Qatar Petroleum’s requirements. The interview is also a way for the applicant to better understand the opportunity available to him in the company.

Fourth stage:
