Role Purpose:   The Assistant Manager, Technology & Analytics is responsible for further enhancing the integrated audit and data analytics driven approach adopted by the Internal Audit function. The role holder will support development and management of delivery of the technology audit plan with focus on adding value to our business. This role will also be responsible for evaluating risks and controls for IT applications, infrastructure, information security as well as digital projects / initiatives. The role will be accountable for supporting the Internal Audit team in performing integrated audits and data analytics.   Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Digital & Technology Audit Planning & Execution Provide inputs for the development / update of a comprehensive Technology Audit & Analytics Strategy and Plan that addresses the system and process risks. Monitor the technology risk profile and emerging risks based on internal and external factors and update Internal Audit Management of the potential impacts. Deliver the Technology Audit Plan comprising of reviews in technical areas of current/emerging technologies, cloud computing, big data, ecommerce/digital, etc. Identify and facilitate deployment of technology-driven auditing tools that could enhance effectiveness and efficiency of audit reviews. Identify root causes and appropriate solutions for recurring or thematic audit issues. Support the operational internal audit team in executing integrated risk based audits and assessing assurance level of system controls. Monitor and report on status of implementation of high priority management action plans (corrective actions).   Stakeholder Management Build relationships with the Digital team and key business stakeholders and promote the value of internal audit. Audit Technology Management Ensure deployment and maintenance of key audit systems (such as TeamMate) that support the internal audit activities. Ensure set-up and maintenance of technology environments required to perform critical activities (e.g. data analytics environment, servers for analytics tools, test environments for new deployments / pilot projects etc.) Policies and Procedures Ensure compliance with corporate policies and departmental policies and procedures Comply with the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Code of Ethics Human Capital Responsibilities Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management Provide inputs on training needs Develop and implement on the job-training for the team Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures . Definition of Success Completion of Digital audits as per the annual internal audit plan. Improved efficiency in operational audits through integrated audit approach. Client satisfaction survey results. Functional/Technical Competencies Knowledge of IT general controls framework Knowledge of leading standards (ITIL, COBIT, ISO standards etc.) and deployment thereof Knowledge of integrated audit approach including application controls testing Knowledge of digital risks and risk assessment approaches Communication and presentation skills
