Responsibilities:

Overview of the role:
- ROLES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Operational:
- Receive material or service requests and enquiries from Departments by understanding the requirement in close coordination with the user department and issue Tenders & RFQ (request for quotation) based on complexity and estimated value.
- Negotiate purchase order prices, terms and conditions to ensure value for money and meet the interest of the company.
- Create Requisitions and convert to purchase orders in accordance with company procedures, monitor delivery, expedite if required to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure that all aspects of the purchase orders placed are satisfied in accordance with user requirements including service and quality.
- Maintain sourcing and pricing data and use cost analysis and commodity price indices to maximize value.
- Manage the timeliness of the ordering process i.e. from material requisition to order placement, to minimize lead time, systematically monitor the compliance of the order terms by suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure full customer satisfaction with Procurement services through required liaison and monitoring of supplier performance to ensure such satisfaction.
- Evaluate supplier perf.
- Operational (General):
- Provide assistance to SANAD’s other business units on issues pertinent to job function; participate in performing routine checks and inspections to ensure the highest safety and quality standards are being maintained if required.
- Take care of health, safety and environmental impact both personally, and for others who may be affected in the workplace. Cooperate with the Company and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal and company requirements.
- Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes in SANAD including but not limited to strategic initiatives, operational initiatives and performance uplift tasks; conduct any relevant work that may result from these changes as an integral part of this job description and employment contract.
- Help support the organization in extraordinary events such as claims by contractors, dispute reviews and participation in arbitration.
- Perform any other activity as required by the company both at the company premises and remotely when requested by the company.
- Proactively seek out information that is relevant to job role whether internally or externally to efficiently and effectively deliver. Remain up to date with context of the Company and the role within it to provide insight on potential opportunities and/or challenges.
- Contribute to the execution and delivery of any activities as and when required to ensure the continuity of work in the absence of other colleagues.
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in General or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or relevant field.
Experience requirements:
- A Minimum of at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Desired Skills:
- Job-Specific Skills:
- Accomplish all duties delegated by the Procurement Supervisor/Manager, including but not limited to handling purchase orders, support on estimates, and quotation summaries, and arranging the inspection and final delivery of equipment, materials, and services.
- Source, pre-qualify, and evaluate suppliers to assess what services and products they are qualified to provide thereby ensuring that the correct products and services are available.
- Convert MOLs from Inventory system to Purchase Requisitions.
Qualifications:
- Drilling Equipment knowledge will be an added advantage.
