Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oiland gas industry in the State of Qatar.The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures are the exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development isthrough Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) and Development and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded withmajor international oil and gas companies.

• SUPPLY CHAIN

Primary purpose of job

• Responsible for procurement and supply of materials and equipment from receipt of purchase requisition to the award of purchase order and delivery for assigned Category Purchasing Groups to support QP Oil and Gas Operations. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality, adherence to high ethical standards and ensuring compliance to QP Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines, in the procurement process. Action emergency materials requirements. Support price estimation and risk management processes.

Experience & Skills

• Membership of international supply chain institutes is desirable.
• Minimum og 6 years experience in purchasing equipment and materials, preferably in an oil and gas environment.
• Knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP in preferred.

Education

• University degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or Business.
