Job Title – Civil Engineer Jobs in United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities:

Takes the lead in the execution of civil construction activities on behalf of the Project Team. Supervises a team of engineers, skilled and semi-skilled laborers, and contractors.
Able to demonstrate excellent management skills, following policies, procedures, and work practices, and developing improvements where necessary.
Takes part in decision-making, scheduling, budgeting, preparation of scope of work (SOW), planning, and job execution for all new Civil Construction projects.

Supervise all related Civil/Construction projects and maintenance activities on project construction sites.
Leads a team of skilled and semi-skilled supervisors and their teams.
Monitor daily progress and work schedules.

Follow one week & 28 days look ahead plans for the civil works of the project, in close liaison with construction, planning, and other departments and disciplines.
Prepare Civil MTOs, cost estimates, and documentation.
Demonstrate competent familiarity with all civil QA/QC and HSE / Safety procedures, plus all company rules and regulations.

Liaises closely with the Project team in activity planning, engineering change, and cost control.
Ensures that all construction and installation activities are accurately recorded for the purpose of ‘as built’ drawings and details.

Educational requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.

Experience requirements:

A minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position and role.

Desired Skills:

Must be Familiar with International/ Local Design Guidelines and Standards.
Must be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively and tactfully communicate with many levels of personnel in a variety of environments. Working in a multicultural environment where knowledge of local customs and laws would be required. Must be able to tactfully navigate delicate situations with finesse and sensitivity.

Implements all HSE guidelines and regulations and ensures compliance with acceptable norms and standards.
Investigates potential and identified problems in order to find cost-effective solutions and implement them when approved, and monitor results.
Reports to Project Manager.

Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all Company staff.
Take appropriate actions to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery of scheduled activities in accordance with the project plan.
Ensure the services and project works are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.

Work closely with the team of engineers and technicians as required by the nature of the work.

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
Highly motivated.
