Job Description – Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing
construction projects while ensuring all works are completed in accordance with approved
drawings, specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.
The role also involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and
subcontractors to deliver projects efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate civil construction activities on site.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings and contract requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare work schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.
• Implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
• Monitor material quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Assist in project cost control and budget monitoring.
• Review completed work for progress payments where applicable.
• Identify project risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate site records, RFIs, inspections, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional engineering registration or license (preferred).
• Relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
