Electrical Engineer Job Requirements

Designs and/or supervises the design of a variety of electrical systems.
Conducts on-site inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with all recognized standards and contract specifications.

Coordinates electrical systems with architectural components and other disciplines.
Prepares technical specifications for Bill of Quantities and reviews bid documents.
Prepares project request evaluations, technical reports and cost estimates.

Reviews and evaluates electrical design drawings and specifications prepared by others.
Supervises on-site construction for compliance with the contract s technical specifications and testing of electrical systems performed by the contractor and provides detailed test reports.
Provides construction progress reports and punch lists.

Ensures electrical safety requirements during construction and issues notices of violation where unsafe conditions exist then conduct follow up inspections.
