Project Manager, IT Core System – Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

The IT Project Manager is a professional who oversees the work of a technical team, while considering business management aspects.
IT Project Manager manages the development and implementation of system solutions to supports the organization’s strategic business plan (initiated by OIC and various business functions) and coordinates this effort across IT.

He/She has to make sure that the project is delivered on schedule (Time), within Budget, set scope, and with Quality (OTOBOSOQ).
Manage projects from Initiation to Closure.
Work closely with business users to understand their needs.
Conduct requirements analysis sessions.
Responsible for translation of the detailed business requirements into functional specs.
Define the project scope, objectives and approach.
Create and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Assist business users in the prioritization and phasing of requirements.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Ensure common understanding, quality of deliverables and compliance with business requirements.
Develop, maintain and monitor the detailed project plan.
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.

Manage relationships with solution providers (vendors)and ensure they deliver as per plan and requirements.
Elaborate Training plan, contribute to test plan, testscripts and user acceptance tests with the testing team.
Responsible for the overall success of the project as well as the delivery of result.

Soft Skills Required

Good knowledge of OIC Insurance operations.
Sound knowledge of the insurance business, insurance accounting and current market.
High level of project management and planning is required to implement the new system requirements.
High level of stakeholder management is required, to determine business needs.

High level of technical vendor discussion is required. Required to explain the technical terms, understand new technologies and translate to cover/anticipate business needs.
