Abu Dhabi-settled Public Oil Development Organization (NPCC) has been granted a $744 million nearby oilfield improved contract, state news office WAM provided details regarding Tuesday, referring to state-possessed Abu Dhabi Public Oil Co (ADNOC).

The designing, acquisition, and development contract is for the full field advancement of the Belbazem Seaward Block in Abu Dhabi, WAM said.

The agreement was granted by Al Yasat Oil Tasks Organization, a joint endeavor among ADNOC and China Public Petrol Company (CNPC).

Responsibilities:

Overview of the role:
PURPOSE & SCOPE: Jobs at this level are responsible for the review of inquiry documentation and the Scope of Work and for carrying out allocated duties related to performing/checking/reviewing all engineering deliverables in a timely manner within the budget. The jobholders in this position are required to ensure the quality of all deliverables and adherence to company quality plans and job specifications/guidelines etc. The jobholders can be assigned as members of the engineering team on a large project or can be assigned as lead engineers on small-size EPC / medium-size Construction projects as per company requirements. The engineers at this position may have to go for offshore for a site survey. The posting is generally in the NPCC base engineering office at MFY Abu Dhabi, however, the jobholders may have to travel outside UAE on a business trip for short durations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives allocated duties & studies, client documentation &Scope of Work.

Performing, Checking/reviewing, and ensuring technical accuracy and quality of all discipline deliverables such as structural analyses, design calculations, drawings, specifications, purchase requisitions, technical bid evaluations, etc. during all phases of the allotted project i.e. Basic, detailed, construction, and installation engineering.
Shall be responsible for planning and delegation of work to discipline engineers and drafting staff working on the allotted project under him.
Shall be responsible for Inter Discipline Checking activities.

Directly reporting to HOD for all matters except for allotted project-related issues for which, reporting to LDE / Project Engineering Manager.
Responsible for review of various types of tender documents and providing inputs for allotted inquiries.
Ensuring adherence to company procedures, client specifications, guidelines, international codes, and standards.

Review and approval of all vendor documents, and drawings.
Responsible for material procurement

Educational requirements:

University graduate with B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering. A master’s degree in Ocean Engineering / Structural Engineering shall be considered an added qualification.

Experience requirements:

A Minimum of at least 6 years of experience in an Offshore Oil and Gas Field

Desired Skills:

Job-Specific Skills:
Proficiency in using offshore structural software such as SACS, GRLWEAP, etc.

Must be well versed with Offshore industry related guidelines, codes, and regulations such as API-RP-2A, API-RP-2L, AISC, CAP-437, ICAO Annex –14, DNV rules, offshore material specifications as per BS, ASTM & Euro, etc.
Good planning & decision-making skills.

Qualifications:

Good command of written and spoken English

Good command using general computer software such as M. S. Office, MathCad, etc.
