Due to continued expansion, Jones Engineering require an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer HVAC for a number of sites based in Dublin

Role

•    Assist the onsite team to complete planned preventative maintenance tasks on air conditioning, chillers, DX Condensers, Cold Stores, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Supply & Extract Fans plant but not limited to other HVAC equipment. Excellent opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience on HVAC plant in a live facility.
•    Assist the senior refrigeration engineer to complete remedial works, fault finding and problem solving.
•    Carrying out technical inspections of plant equipment and providing functional and technical information to clients through reporting on a CMMS system. (Training will be provided)
•    Assisting the senior engineer to carry out new installation works, including specification and selecting the appropriate units, creating a take off of materials required to complete a project, planning the layout of pipes and controls ensuring that projects are carried out in line with company standards and EHS procedures.

•    Knowledge of Air Conditioning / Refrigeration systems desirable
•    Tracking and keeping stock of onsite consumables, arranging for replacements as required
•    Working as part of an onsite team with the ability to work under the supervision of senior craftsmen.
•    Working closely with our clients directly representing Jones Engineering in a presentable manner.
•    Role is based on a 39-hour standard work week however must be willing to work non-standard hours for access reasons or if non-functioning plant requires immediate repair.
•    The successful applicant must be willing to learn their trade from experienced craftsmen and bring a positive attitude to the team.
