Job Title – Associate Data Engineer Jobs in Oman

Responsibilities:

Work with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining the data infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes

Work With site team to gather and process raw data from wellheads, flow-line, trucklines, pipelines etc.. on a timely manner so that business decisions are made on time
Problem solve and advice for digitizing data collection to provide efficiency to the business
Help streamline the data science workflows, adding value to our production and build lifecycle retention models to enable the business preserve the data and make it available on demand all the time

Work closely with the site team, office team and digital office team to develop data models , reporting, and machine learning
Discover opportunities for data acquisition
Recommend way to improve data, reliability, efficiency and quality

Explore and examine data to find hidden patterns
Comply with data governance and data security regulations and policies
Develop algorithms to transform data into usable forms

Work with Ops team, WRM team , digital office and subsurface team to provide seamless flow of data from site to head office
Automate data collection work through the use of predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Work with site team to enable the business to manage variety of storage systems and data management systems

Educational requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, systems engineering, computer engineering, Chemical/Process Engineering or related field or equivalent.
Knowledge in Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
