What you will be doing?

  • Responsible for preparing food in the Kitchen as per the Standards of Performance set by the Outlet Chef and through information and recipes
  • Maintain the highest possible hygiene and maintenance standards in your Kitchen section
  • Achieve the highest degree in applied hygiene and food safety as per the ADFCA HACCP guidelines to ensure that the food served to the Guest is of highest quality and standard
  • Support directly the Chef de Partie (or Demi Chef De Partie) in the daily operation and take full responsibilities of your section when your immediate supervisor is not there, in order to ensure a smooth operation
  • Ensure food prepared is according to the set menu specifications (pictures or/and portions) thus maintaining high standards set by the Outlet Chef
  • Organise your section according to the plan device by the Outlet Chef, in order to ensure smooth operation
  • Practice economy of inventory items to ensure sufficient supplies and minimize cost by avoiding wastage and spoilages
  • Is familiar with the operational procedures of all equipment in the kitchen and operates them in the correct manner to ensure the maximum efficiency and personal safety
  • To assist in the implementation of the various food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP and other Municipality regulations.
  • Participates in regular meetings and briefings as may be scheduled.
  • Participates in any scheduled training and development program that may improve personal or departmental standards.
  • Responds to any changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company or hotel.
  • Is aware of the method of preparation and the standard recipe for every menu item in his particular kitchen and follows the procedures at all times.
  • Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies

 Your experience and skills include:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in five-star hotel
  • Hospitality background highly preferred
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Dynamic, Hardworking attribute
  • Flexible
  • Ability to provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
