Job Title – Crane and Lifting Supervisor Jobs in Brussels, Belgium

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, schedule and forecast Heavy Lift works as well as establish priorities, sequences, and required delivery dates;
  • Take the lead in the engineering of complex lifting operations and realize the lifting plans;
  • Supervise the assembly and disassembly of special lifting equipment like high rise TC’s, personnel hoists etc;
  • Supervise complex lifting operations abroad;
  • Ensure labor and equipment demands are met within set time frames by liaising with the relevant internal teams and external subcontractors if required;
  • Provide advice, service support, technical or functional or safety information to internal (tendering & methods teams) and business partners;
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of processes or systems as appropriate;
  • Answer queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding expediting issues and resolve any areas of concern;
  • Work cooperatively with others to accomplish company goals, including aiding other teams if required;
  • Give training for riggers and crane operators;
  • Follow up TC’s certificates, TC’s operators, Banks men/Riggers certificates;
  • Follow up the lifting equipment (certificates and proper use of the lifting equipment);
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and suggest improvements / changes to the process;
  • Ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to laws, regulations and industry standards/codes in partnership with the HSSEQ department;

 

Educational requirements:

  • Relevant Qualification

 

Experience requirements:

  • You have relevant experience in the domain of special lifting operations and various types of lifting equipment with the emphasis on tower cranes;
  • You are a team player and have experience in guiding / steering other people;
  • Any experience with giving trainings or with instructional background is an asset;
  • Any experience as an internal quality auditor is an asset;

Desired Skills:

  • You are willing to travel frequently (up to 50% of your time);
  • You have good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • You possess strong time management skills;
  • You have good reporting skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel);
  • You are fluent in English and you have a good/professional level in French and / or Dutch. Any other language is an asset;

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Learns quickly.
