Job Title – Diesel Mechanics – Mechanical Tradespersons Jobs in Brisbane, Australia

Responsibilities:

Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and OHS standards
Perform major overhauls, reconditioning of engines and compressor components
Monitor and record parts usage

Have a high regard for Safety and adhere to all HSE standards and guidelines

Educational requirements:

The successful candidate will be a positive team player and have the following –

Industry relevant trade qualification
Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with all stakeholders in a respectful and polite manner
A strong focus on safety

Basic computer skills
Manual driver’s license

The following will be highly regarded –

OEM Caterpillar, Waukesha and / or Ariel Training
Current FA/CPR qualifications
Working at Heights, Confined Space and / or Hazardous Areas certification

Exposure to large engine rebuilds

Experience requirements:

Post apprenticeship experience working with Waukesha or Caterpillar gas-fueled engines (desirable)

Previous experience working on reciprocating and / or rotary screw compression equipment
Experience overhauling large engines

Commercial awareness.
Ability to motivate others.
Team working skills.

Good knowledge of building methods and regulations.

Qualifications:
