Estimator – Job Responsibilities

• Study the Tender Documents, B.O.Q, Specifications & Drawings and send tender clarification to Engineer/or client.
• Prepare the quantities for civil work and calculate the abstract Steel required.
• Prepare Take-off tender quantities as per the Tender drawings & specifications and compare with the quantities given in the Consultant BOQ and advice of any major difference.
• Reviewed and evaluated quotations to be incorporated in the Tender proposal.
• Workout the Tender Price as per tender requirement, specification and then Preparation & Submission of tender bid letter with all the qualifications, terms & conditions, Exclusions, Terms of Payments.
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Allocating work to subcontractors, measuring, certifying their works and prepare payment certification.
• Valuing completed work and preparing payment applications.
• Liaise with main contractors, consultants and client quantity surveyor.
