Job Title – HSE Officer Jobs in Sur, Sultanate of Oman
Responsibilities:
- Basic Function and Scope
- Manage the HSSE matters related to the daily operation of the materials warehouse and related facilities.
- Ensure Zero LTI and safety is implemented across the warehouseTasks and Duties
- Ensuring that work carried out in the chemical warehouse complies with regulationsstipulated in the Company’s HSSE regulations and Local statutory regulations
- Be familiar with statutory requirements and HSSE regulations for the import of chemicals and the safe disposal of toxic wastes;
- Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS all chemicals bought and used in the company;
- Setting up a system that ensures for the safe storage and easy retrieval of materials and chemicals and its associated records in accordance with the Company’s HSSE MS;
- With Worksite operating team, establish safe warehouse operating procedures and ensure that materials and equipment received are properly operated in a safe manner;
- Ensure good housekeeping, security, and safety practices are observed always;
- Ensure forklift, lorry & pickup operation adhere to HSSE standards;
- Ensure chemicals and catalysts are handled and stored safely taking into consideration their storage compatibility.
- Act as a focal point for all matters related to HSSE at the warehouse;
- Coordinate for delivery of materials, chemicals, and catalysts to plant areas.
- Ensure that current statutory legislation on import/export, transportation/shipment of dangerous goods, safety, storage, customs, excise procedures, and environmental requirements are adhered to always.
- Manage total performance of warehouse operation in a safe manner.
- Any other work instructed by Worksite operating team
Educational requirements:
- A Diploma in Business Administration/Logistics (preferably majoring in warehouseoperations)
Experience requirements:
- A Minimum of at least 5 years of related experience in HSSE-related work for warehousing.
Desired Skills:
- Very good understanding of the English Language.
Qualifications:
- Able to work with computers, word, excel, and windows and a good understanding of MMS.
