Responsibilities :

• • Serve as a technical expert on hydrogen fuel cells and marine vessels, providing guidance and support to other professionals within the organization. Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices in hydrogen marine infrastructure and entire ecosystem.
  • Assisting in the review and management of Hydrogen marine infrastructure engineering projects.
  • Basic awareness, understanding, and experience of coastal numerical modeling processes and marine structures design.
  • Basic Awareness of relevant marine codes, certifications, and standards.
  • Assisting in the preparation and/or review raising Requests for Proposals, building scopes of work requirements, design documents, and specifications, tender documentation, and tender reviews.
  • Assisting in the management and administration of consultants and contracts.
  • Managing the delivery process for packages that form part of large multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Monitor the progress of consultants/contractors including hosting regular meetings to track deliverables progress.
  • Report on infrastructure projects progress in relation to the approved schedule.
  • Liaise with technical leads in order to provide all necessary inputs to ensure consultant/contractor delivers to schedule.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cross discipline/consultant/contractor coordination. Work with internal and external stakeholders, including potential partners, governments, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations, to build relationships and facilitate collaboration on hydrogen marine technology innovation initiatives.
  • Permits and Regulations Oversight: Coordinate with regulatory bodies internal within NEOM and support the team in obtaining all marine/H2 specific certifications and compiling all safety requirements as hydrogen mobility and infrastructure in marine industry is still nascent.

Educational requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering; a master’s degree is desirable

Experience requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in hydrogen infrastructure and/or marine engineering
• Experience with 350 and 700-bar hydrogen storage systems.
• Project Management experience (especially with regards to scope, schedule, quality, resources, communication, and risk)

Desired Skills:

• Skill in oral and written communication to communicate across a variety of audiences including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective use of professional project management tools for monitoring and reporting progress
• Strong understanding of hydrogen and/or marine industry
• Excellent technical skills and ability to develop solutions with external suppliers.
• Excellent MS computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications:

• Pragmatic goal-orientated attitude
• Strong technical knowledge of marine or coastal engineering and/or in hydrogen transport, compression, liquefaction, purification, and dispensing technologies knowledge in hydrogen infrastructure needs and technologies.
• Strong understanding of hydrogen safety codes and standards.
• .Knowledge of project management principles, methods, and practices to effectively manage or lead engineering projects of significant size, scope, and complexity.
