Responsibilities :

  • Benchmark global best practices in heritage tourism to continuously update NEOM’s visitor experiences.
  • Support the development and execution of visitor experience strategies, ensuring all initiatives have clear, measurable KPIs.
  • Constantly update visitor experience strategies based on evolving market segments, needs, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Foster robust, collaborative partnerships with local and international bodies to expand NEOM’s cultural tourism outreach.
  • Oversee narrative development, ensuring authenticity and relevance to the target audience and usability for experience and activation
  • Innovate and design diverse visitor experiences, ensuring alignment with NEOM Heritage’s goals and the varied interests of visitors.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Experience team and other NEOM departments and regions of ensuring seamless execution of heritage projects related to experience and activation
  • Support the development of digital tools and emerging tech (AR, VR,), including interactive maps and online platforms, to elevate the virtual visitor experience.
  • Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources, including equipment, guides, and digital tools, for heritage site activations.
  • Institute a continuous feedback loop using satisfaction surveys, enhancing visitor experience based on real-time insights.
  • Regularly conduct in-depth analysis of visitor data and feedback to inform strategy refinement and ensure maximum engagement.
  • Proactively identify service gaps, implement corrective actions, and recommend changes based on visitor feedback and global trends.
  • Consistently maintain detailed reports, ensuring transparency in visitor engagement, challenges faced, and opportunities identified.
  • Work closely with marketing, PR, and Culture and Entertainment events teams to promote heritage sites, ensuring a unified branding and promotional strategy.
  • Periodically review and update training materials for staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and tools to enhance visitor experience.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor activation and experiences risks and propose corrective actions to mitigate and overcome the risks

 

 

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Archaeology, Heritage, Cultural Studies, Cultural Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field

Experience requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Art/Cultural project development, particularly in the design and activation of visitor experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience managing and executing complex heritage or tourism projects.
  • Solid understanding of visitor experience best practices and the ability to develop and implement strategies aligned with these.
  • Experience in designing or using digital tools, like interactive maps or online platforms, to enhance visitor engagement.
  • Experience in team leadership, training, or capacity-building would be advantageous, ensuring all staff deliver consistent and high-quality visitor experiences
