Job Title – IOT/IIOT SENIOR MANAGER Jobs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and expert support in the design and preparation of particular actions and manage a ‘living’ IoT and IIoT management, operational and engagement plans, execute initiatives to address key findings and support asset delivery.
  • Monitor the IoT / IIoT landscape; with a comprehensive factset on the IoT landscape, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Works with other digital and technology leads to implement IoT / IIoT initiatives such as building / modifying products, deploying programs and implementing partnership programs (i.e. digital products, strategy, marketing, and legal); maintaining efficient working relationship with asset operators.
  • Works with QIC IT and the XDS teams to ensure the integration of IoT / IIoT solutions at asset, district, plateau, and city (as required and defined in the Qiddiya operational information requirements) implementing and improving solutions and integrations.
  • Liaises with QIC IT to ensure support, problem resolution, and interface management between all parties (including MCIT, suppliers, designers, contractors, operators, etc.) is undertaken effectively, ensuring the operational effectiveness of the applications is provided.
  • Works closely with the QIC IT Leadership, XDS Directors, and XDS Digital and Technology Director providing consolidated requirements, business needs, definition, and prioritization, for IoT / IIoT Requests for Information. design / solution changes, updates, and services.
  • Provides strong thought leadership on emerging IoT / IIoT technologies. Identify and investigate advanced technologies offering Qiddiya significant technical and financial benefits.
  • Keeps abreast of current IoT / IIoT technology, best practice, laws, and standards.  Participates in professional organizations; makes presentations at meetings and seminars (internal and external).  Supports Professional licensing, technical papers in professional publications and supports Accreditations.
  • Responsible for the XCS digital and technology IoT / IIoT requirements, standards, strategies, policies, plans and processes / procedures and best practice developed during the XCS establishment process.
  • Recommends improvements to XCS IoT / IIoT procedures and develops and implements updates within area of expertise as needed to XCS baseline. Oversight of Functional Managers in updating standards and procedures manuals for the disciplines (from the baseline created at XCS establishment)
  • Supports XDS to define requirements and strategic goals to determine the resources required to achieve them and directs effort to support the acquisition and retention those resources.
  • Maintains / controls operating budget as presented by QIC management.  Ensures performance within overhead budget.
  • Participates in review of all major proposals and initiatives affecting the digital infrastructure disciplines. Supports pre‑contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant.  Provides technical consultation to QIC and XDS management as needed.
  • Monitors the quality and progress of the digital and technology IoT / IIoT discipline, ensuring that requirements are satisfied.  Works closely with XDS Directors to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, application performance, updates, or improvement requirements.
  • Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Programs.  Audits projects to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and NQA-1 requirements, together with any specified digital and technology standards as defined within the XCS baseline strategy and best practice developments thereof.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the assigned disciplines. Ensures compliance with corporate policies.
  • Coordinates department’s activity with pertinent external groups, such as regulatory agencies, as necessary.
  • Oversees the functional managers.  Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees.  Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels, takes corrective action, as required, and approves terminations.  Ensures that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures.
  • Plans, directs, and manages the annual salary increase budget within the constraints of corporate policy; approves all salary actions, monitors actual increases against budget throughout the year; approves hiring/ termination recommendations; reviews and signs annual performance reviews for functional managers. Provides technical training and career development for all department employees.
  • Performs other responsibilities, such as participating in corporate working groups, associated with this position as may be appropriate.

 

Educational requirements:

  • 4-year degree in IT or Engineering (or related field) and Professional registration with active professional membership, MBA or related MSc degree is desirable.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of IoT / IIoT best practices, processes, and current technology trends. Strong working knowledge ISO Quality Management Systems Standards. Proficiency in analyzing situations in business terms, i.e., ROI, cost per unit, etc. and HS experience also desirable for role.

 

Experience requirements:

  • 15+ years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of discipline leads and technical support personnel.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage a large group of technical personnel, the ability to drive excellence in field of expertise, focusing on safety, quality and improvement of processes, mentoring, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.  Must also demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks.  Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific sub-discipline software systems.  Must be capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management.  This includes effective problem solving and exercising excellent judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues.  Ability to network across departments and key external stakeholders.
