Job Title – Planning and Project Control Engineer Jobs in Navegantes, State of Santa Catarina, Brazil

Responsibilities:

Produce and maintain the Contract Baseline Schedule and the Working Schedule (when different);
Co-ordinate the production of all subsidiary programs when required;

Develop and maintain the schedule, and collect status updates for the activities;
Analyse variations, slipping tasks, impact of task changes, critical path, overall ability of project to deliver on time.
Maintain and manage progress reporting, including preparation of project dashboards and S-curves;

Incorporate compensation events into Contract and Working Programs and demonstrate their impact;
Liaison with quantity surveying and design functions to assess the program implications of any variation;
Monitor anticipated material deliveries and liaise with Construction Manager and Foremen to ensure awareness of program implications of late/delayed deliveries;

Perform earned value analysis and burn rate projections;
Track all expenditures with assistance of admin/finance/quantity surveyor;
Analyse spending trends and estimate final costs; report any deviation from baseline;

Recommend methods to keep project under budget;
Document/track issues and risks, oversee risk analysis and impact, and escalate as necessary extraordinary risk impacts and / or issues;
Build sub-schedule to determine procurement dates;

Collect updates from suppliers and analyze impacts to project schedule;
Coordinate with the Project Team to delegate tasks and provide status of project activities and milestones;
Work with Project Team to develop a project plan, including facilitating process for handling risks, issues, scope, quality, and general project communication;

Ensure that the project has all needed resources;

Educational requirements:

You have a master degree in construction (e.g. industrial or civil engineer);

You have an affinity with both technique and management;

Experience requirements:

You have a proven experience (min. 5 years) in a project-based organization or as a planner;

Desired Skills:

You are fluent in English and Portuguese
You have a very good knowledge of IT tools (knowledge of Primavera or MS Project is an asset);
You are analytical, independent and a good communicator.

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
Highly motivated.
