Job – Production Engineer (Fabrication Plant)

Job Description

Production Engineer (Fabrication Plant)

Qualification

Ø Minimum must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

Ø Minimum 5 years of work experience in Oil & Gas, Steel Fabrication, Structural steel & Architectural steel fabrication.

Ø Working knowledge of Auto-CAD

Ø GCC experience is preferable

Skills Required

Ø Expertise in equipment & machinery set-ups in a fabrication workshop and its maintenance.

Ø Must have good exposure in establishing safe working condition and implementing procedures.

Ø Able to read production drawings necessary

Ø Demonstrated ability to make decisions and set direction

Ø Excellent Communication skills

Ø Knowledge of raw materials and fabrication, quality systems and standards, process improvement techniques

Ø Proven project management skills

Ø Strong technical expertise in a manufacturing environment

Ø In-depth computer skills including Microsoft applications

Ø Must have strong math & data analytical skills.

Ø Must be detail oriented & problem solving skills.

Ø Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Ø Plan, Manage and oversee all elements of production in the factory

Ø Should be capable to lead the production team of 100+ employees

Ø Analyze current production methods and develop improved processes

Ø Design and implement cost-reduction changes

Ø Maximize productivity of machinery and workers

Ø Follow product specifications and quality control measures

Ø Determine which machines, tools, equipments, etc., will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility.

Ø Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality

Ø Implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results

Ø Educate employees on proper methods in which to operate machinery

Ø Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems

Ø Work within set budgetary plans for specified projects. Look for alternative and report on-time in-case of any deviation.

Ø Should be reporting day to day activities properly to the Direct Manager.

Ø Communicate with suppliers to obtain materials and/or equipment(s) needed

Ø Follow and adhere to all enforced safety rules and regulations as per company policy and law.

Ø Minimize scraps by selecting the proper materials.

Ø Proper coordination with other departments.
