Job – Senior Accountant

Job Requirements:

  • Focus on Tax compliance, Financial Audit, management reporting of all entities.
  • Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Monitor and maintain audit system by implementing new policies and procedures in the finance department.
  • Assist Finance Manager for the improvement of financial performance of the organization.
  • Responsible for the preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and financial management reports.
  • Assist the management for all accounting procedures and systems used by the organization.
  • Review of reports, analyse of sales and income against actual figures and suggests methods of improving the planning process.
  • Assist in the smooth running of the team and coordinate for the training & development for them.
  • Review and verify share distributions.
  • Manage the preparation of individual action plans and targets for all team members.
  • Liaise with Auditors, Tax Consultant and Cost Consultant (Q.S).
  • Guide junior accountants and other staff by answering questions and coordinating informational classes.
  • Play a vital part in the company s financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
  • Maintain accurate financial and other records and activities.
  • Review and Verify monthly vat returns.
  • Monitor and Control VAT refund file preparation.
  • Preparing different kinds of reports to supporting Audit work.
  • Preparing MIS report as per management instruction.
  • Reconciling Trial Balance on regular basis.
  • Maintaining General ledger.
  • Assist the financial Manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Review and Verify audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees, vendors and/or tenant.
  • Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.
  • Authorize for create, maintain, and update of Chart of Accounts.
  • Coordinate with Store keeper for maintain inventory on system.
  • Review, verify and approve monthly Payroll with bank smart system.
  • Assist HR Department related with Payroll and other employee benefits.
  • Checking and verifying Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Checking and verifying and supervising of All Accounting transactions.
  • Maintaining Cash & Cheques Collection.
  • Follow up the daily Bank Deposits.
  • Maintain and control the Liquidation of Petty cash.
  • Coordinate team members working outside the office.
  • Monitoring Material Issues & Stock transfer at the construction site.
  • Review and Approve Material issued at the construction site.
  • Reconciliation of Multiple online accounts related with Employees Medical and Visa.
  • Prepare and maintain prepaid schedule.
  • Review and approve all Payable and receivable payments.
  • Project cost review and management.
  • Maintain Supplier/Subcontractors Advances account and Retention Payables.
  • Protects organization s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepare Questionnaire for new recruitment and make interview and training for new staff at Finance Department.
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or ACCA)
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
