Job Summary:

• The position holder leads the design activities of projects of medium / high complexity.
• The jobholder ensures a functional, effective and aesthetic design for projects, which accommodates the requirements of the client, local authorities, international standards and codes of practice and the requirements of other disciplines.
• The job holder develops concept designs, schematic designs, and detailed designs and participates in the preparation of tender documents for pavement design projects.

Technical Skills and Competencies required to execute this role as Senior Engineer – Pavement Design:

• Experience in design activities of projects of medium and high complexity. Defines the requirements of the client, local authorities in accordance with international standards and codes of practice and the requirements of other disciplines. Experience in concept design, schematic design, detailed design and preparation of tender documents
• In depth knowledge of the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in the Middle East, particularly related to pavement design
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage 

Qualification required to execute this role:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience required to execute this role:

• 5 – 8 years of experience in engineering design in a top tier regional/multinational engineering consultancy firm in Pavement Design works
• Exposure to global best practices and trends in the pavement design field as a Senior Engineer – Pavement Design.
