Responsibilities:

Job Description
KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES

Identify, record, and keep evidence of all ideas, projects, initiatives, etc., that are related to the future & sustainability of the Urban assets, from internal, external, and global sources.
Conduct site visits to the main related external sites and locations to monitor the engineering-related developments and improvement opportunities based on the outcomes of the analysis, studies, and benchmarking.
Participate effectively in identifying sustainability pillars for RTA’s large and mega section-related engineering projects

Participate with the team to prepare and update a matrix of all ideas, initiatives, projects, etc. are related to the future & sustainability of Urban Planning & Quality of Life and link them to RTA projects or propose new projects if needed and conduct screening & initial analyses on the ideas and identify potential ones for the future of Dubai and provides recommendations to the line manager accordingly
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
Support in conducting engineering and technical studies related to the department, especially in the quality of life and related infrastructure

General supervision of urban planning in the Authority, including supervision of its implementation, and ensuring the alignment of the section’s plans with the Dubai Government plan
Monitor the section’s performance in engineering-related areas of approved process systems and leads the development of processes, guidelines, and action plans related to the engineering scope of the section

Review the results of the strategic performance indicators for the implementation of the engineering, and urban plans, and following up on its completion, and direct the necessary measures and solutions to be taken to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of its implementation and submit them to the necessary appropriations
Ensure that the initiatives and projects of urban planning and housing policy proceed in accordance with the plans set, are in line with government priorities and directives, and achieve the goals approved for them in this regard.
Ensure the implementation of the necessary directives regarding any major modifications to the approved urban plan, based on the developments and directives of the Dubai government in this regard and what has been approved by the authority

Provide the necessary recommendations regarding engineering plans, strategic studies, framework plans, and infrastructure projects related to urban planning that are compatible with the urban plan for the Emirate of Dubai, and submit them for approval
Review reports submitted by different entities and teams related to the section work, providing
recommendations and support regarding their plans and Commissioner General instructions related to the section as assigned
Provide technical advice, recommendations, and insight regarding urban planning and well-being studies and projects

Provide the necessary technical support and reporting on the progress of committees and teams related to
Urban Planning & Quality of Life, as well as projects and initiatives related to the national housing policy, and proposing the necessary recommendations for the progress achieved
Ensure the availability and accuracy of all documents requested for the meetings of His Excellency the Commissioner-General related to the Urban Planning & Quality of Life and national housing policy initiatives, including agendas, and related documents, and develop the managed communication plans

Conduct periodic research on main Engineering directions, new initiatives, and trends related to Urban Planning & Quality of Life and prepare reports on new strategical initiatives and directions for higher management approval as well as submitting any statical or engineering reports as requested

Educational requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering from a recognized university

Experience requirements:

8 years of working experience in a relevant field.
