Senior Structural Engineer – Job Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis functions for various structures.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures.
• Attend meetings with clients, 3rd party reviewers and permitting Authorities, other professionals, and organizations.
• Supervise others including technical, and professional staff.
• Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
• Issue reports, schedules, responses to technical queries, RFIs.
• Review designs prepared by others as part of a QA/QC process.
• Manage, administer, and perform the structural design process of the assigned projects.
• Possesses advanced knowledge of various design and documentation software including but not limited to CSI and Autodesk products.
• Familiarity with design and analysis using American codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions.
• Comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgement and decision making.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, complex reports and to orally communicate technical information to others.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum (5) years in in GCC region.
