Abu Dhabi-settled Public Oil Development Organization (NPCC) has been granted a $744 million nearby oilfield improved contract, state news office WAM provided details regarding Tuesday, referring to state-possessed Abu Dhabi Public Oil Co (ADNOC).

The designing, acquisition, and development contract is for the full field advancement of the Belbazem Seaward Block in Abu Dhabi, WAM said.

The agreement was granted by Al Yasat Oil Tasks Organization, a joint endeavor among ADNOC and China Public Petrol Company (CNPC).

Responsibilities:

Overview of the role:
PURPOSE & SCOPE: Job holders at this level lead teams involved with the development of discipline-specific engineering drawings. For small projects, they may be designated as Designers, with sole responsibility for design work, whilst on larger projects, they may assume responsibilities as Drafting Team Leaders (DTLs). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise closely with Design Office Coordinator (DOC) for resource planning, and manhour planning. Provide regular feedback to DOC on progress on allocated jobs.

Works closely with Lead Discipline Engineer (LDE) for deliverable and resource planning to ensure the timely issuance of project deliverables.
Studies and understands the scope of work and specifications for each project. Develop installation concepts and allocates them to team members for preparing detailed / construction engineering drawings.
Prepare barge layout arrangements, sea-fastening detailed drawings, lifting and installation drawings for decks, jackets, bridges, and other structures.

Prepare float-over layouts, mooring, and equipment layouts, and exclusion zone drawings, and perform clash checks with Topside and barge.
Perform clash checks on each deliverable, minimize repetitive work, and encourage standardization.
Develop installation concepts and promote innovation.

Mentors supervise and participate in discipline-specific drafting activities carried out by junior drafting staff, ensuring that work assignments are completed on time and set quality standards.
Conduct quality checks on drawings produced by his Team to ensure compliance with Company Quality standards, consistency, and quality of work.
Provides input for the resolution of engineering queries from Clients or Third parties.

Develop good drafting practices, Engineering Best practices (EBPs) and contribute to discipline drafting, office development, and continuous improvement of drafting manual.
Undertakes interdisciplinary co-ordination to ensure integration of project drafting

Educational requirements:

Technical Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience requirements:

A Minimum of at least 12 years of Design experience, with a minimum of 5 years at Level 2.

Desired Skills:

Job-Specific Skills:
Thorough knowledge of floating barges, construction, and lifting vessels with a specific emphasis on crane operations.

Experienced and competent Computer-Aided Design (CAD) operator (AutoCAD / MicroStation).
Minimum basic knowledge of weight and CoG concepts.
Supervisory experience and team-leader qualities.

Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
Good skills in manpower allocation and resource planning.

Qualifications:

Good interdisciplinary knowledge.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of PDMS/PDS/SP3D/Tekla is an advantage but not a necessity.
Rigorous checker.
