Job Title – Technical Architect – Messaging Jobs in Doha, Qatar

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Design and implementation of Exchange On-Premise, Hybrid Environment, Enterprise Email Archival Solutions and Unified Communication System for communication and collaboration for the Qatar Airways Group.
  • Administration and Maintenance of Exchange On-Premise, Hybrid Environment, Enterprise Email Archival Solutions, Email Security and Management tools.
  • Providing functional and 24×7 L2/L3 Technical support for resolution of customer problems, incidents, issues, requests and queries pertaining to mainly messaging and its related systems.
  • Ensure that systems are fully maintained to the highest level of operational capabilities and automation of operational and management tasks.
  • Ensure to maintain Patch Management, Backup and Restore, Disaster Recovery procedures and its up-to-date documentation.
  • Maintain a highly secure system through proper system configuration and monitoring
  • Ensure availability, continuity and security of data maintained in the system
  • Incident, Change and Problem handling
  • Periodic Capacity Management and Life Cycle Management of the systems, including timely hardware and software upgrade and replacement.
  • Provide technical consultancy and guidance to the team members, other technical teams, Support teams and Information Services teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation for Exchange, Email Archival and other associated systems, including SOPs, administration and configuration documents.
  • Monitor developments in technologies for application towards improvements in the area of security and provide mitigation.
  • Research, develop, test and evaluate technologies and products around Email Servers, Email Vault, Email Security and Unified communications and recommend the suitable solution to the higher management.
  • Monitor developments in technologies for application towards improvements in the area of security and provide mitigation.
  • Responsible for the professional and efficient System Administration and ensuring least privilege access to the production environments in compliance with the ID and Access Management policies.
  • Provide technical consultancy and guidance to the team members, other technical teams and Support teams.

 

Educational requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Environments like Exchange on—prem, Hybrid, Active Directory, and Skype for Business, Windows and Exchange Server administration is must.
  • Practical knowledge of Mail Routing, LDAP, DNS, SMTP routing SMTP Authentication, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and troubleshooting.
  • Thorough knowledge on Email Archival/Retention policies, e-Discovery and compliance
  • Ability to create PowerShell scripts to automate operations and management
  • Knowledge on configuration and implementation of monitoring solutions like Microsoft SCOM for messaging and its associated systems.
  • Skills on Mobile Device Management systems, Hardware Load Balancers and Reverse Proxy Solutions
  • Strong knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident, Problem, Change and Service Continuity Management
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of IT documentation

 

Experience requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge on Firewall, Email Security, Encryption and mail relay configurations
  • Strong Experience with Enterprise Email Archival Solutions
  • Experience and practical knowledge on implementation and management of Exchange High Availability Technologies across multiple data centers and in hybrid environment
  • Experience in OS and Virtualization technologies.
