Job Title – Water Plant Operator Jobs in Oman

Responsibilities:

Control of water treatment plant and equipment in order produce generator feedwater in accordance with Quality Specifications necessary for Steam Generation.
Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of raw water into and through the treating plants.

Controls chemical dosing as required needed to enhance or regenerate the Water Treatment Process.
Maintains and utilizes automatic devices that admit specified amounts of chemicals into the treatment process
Operates and maintains Multi Media and/or Walnut Shell Filters for Total Suspended Solids (TSS) management and oil removal from the produced water stream or other water supply sources.

Operates and maintain both SAC (Strong Acid Cation) and WAC (Weak Acid Cation) softening systems
Monitors PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)/ HMI (Human Machine Interface_ and adjusts controls to regulate flow rates, pressures and distribution of the treated water
Cleans and regenerates treating media filter beds and softeners using established methods.

Tests water samples to determine PH Values, Turbidities, TSS, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) Oil and Grease, and Total Hardness, using Spectrophotometer, Turbidity meter, Conductivity Meter, PH Meters, Gravimetric Analysis and Titration.
Records data into established databases and KPI’s.

Educational requirements:

College Diploma
Knowledge in operating principle of control and measurement devices for water treating system.
Valid driving license.

Good PC skills.
Good in communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in water treating operations including Media Filtration, RO units, WAC and SAC Softening Systems OR General Diploma Certificate (Secondary School) with minimum of 7 years of experience in water treating operations including Media Filtration, RO units, WAC and SAC Softening Systems.
