Due to continued expansion, Jones Engineering require a Commercial/ Projects Manager to join and manage the commercial aspects and project delivery function of Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd in Carlow (Centre of Off-Site Construction Excellence).  This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and support a team of highly talented professionals and be the direct interface with clients to deliver the highest quality and commercially viable solutions to Clients.

Role/Requirements
Based out of our permanent offices in Co. Carlow, the Commercial & Projects Manager (reporting to the General Manager of Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd.) will be part of the core Management Team. The Commercial & Projects Manager will undertake oversight of commercial activities related to the day-to-day activities of the company along with being responsible for organising the successful delivery of projects (including site integration where applicable). The successful candidate must have a strong construction & commercial discipline background.

•    Aid in the pursuit of new project work by attending pre-bid meetings; identify scope, schedule, and budget; actively participate in preparation of proposals; lead client interviews and presentations as needed.
•    Work closely with engineering (design and manufacturing), procurement and the commercial teams to establish the project scope and deliverables.
•    Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication, delivery, and handover aspects of projects.
•    Maintain project resource plans and schedules.
•    Creating and managing budgets – both Operational & Project Specific (including interfacing with company accounts team on a regular basis).
•    Properly identify and assess project risks, reporting on the Operational & Project status on a weekly basis.
•    Develop and maintain positive client relationships for all projects executed by Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd.
•    Engage and manage consultants and Manufacturing Contractors as required.
•    Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree (honours) in an engineering / commercial discipline.
•    Minimum 10+ years’ experience in the construction / manufacturing industry.
•    Demonstrated experience managing projects and commercial activities.
