• NFPS Compresison Head of Process Engineering is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of Process (including Brownfield tie-in design verification / validation) design and equipment technical and execution definition, selection, and design, including planning for Detailed Design, Procurement, Installation, and Testing / Commissioning of the NFPS Compression project/s.
• Ensures that technical requirements (e.g. basis of design, simulations, reports, studies project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during FEED fully comply with project requirements.
• Process design considers the full production life cycle of the Topsides/Pipleines / sufaciltieis as well as Flow Assurance activites for the production and fuel gas pipelienes.
• Provides Process Engineering direction, guidance and leadership to NFPS Compression project EPC(s) PMT and CONTRACTOR(s) for fieldwork within the assigned area. Develop fit-for-purpose process /technical engineering definition of surface facilities
• Effectively collaborates and interfaces with Project team, Contractor, Qatargas stakeholders (Operations, OES, E&P and etc) as required to ensure that the Topsides and facilities scope of supply is fully integrated and optimized.
• Provides oversight of the Compression Process team as well as timely review and approval of project deliverables within project budget and schedule.
• Contributes to the development of EPC Tender package development and technical evaluation.
• Contribute to the development of Qatari employees.

• Regularly interfaces and collaborates with Project Engineering team, non-Engineering PMT and Interface Team

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

• Ensuring optimal delivery of Process and Surveillance engineering deliverables related to Topsides / Pipelines/ Surface Facilities with much of the work involving close collaboration with Contractor/s.
• Effective stewardship of EPC Contract/s, ensuring EPC Contractor/s delivers Process and Flow Assurance design in accordance with project requirements, from contract award until delivery of Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC).
• Risk based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant commercial impacts to overall project execution.
• Supervision of Process team ensuring delivery of technical input in accordance with project requirements while per plan.
• Maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. other NFPS Projects, Operations, OES, E&P and etc.) to ensure alignment on overall delivery of the Topsides/ Piplines /Faciltiies.
• Interface with other NFPS Projects and existing facilties
• Maintaining constructive and positive working relationship with EPC Contractor/s to ensure delivery of Engineering per plan and inaccordance with project/s requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities and Responsibilites

• Provides Process engineering leadership and expertise while supervising and administering Process team.
• Effective stewardship of EPC Contractor/s and delivers Process engineering and flow assurance design in accordance with project requirements, from contract award until delivery of Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC).
• Supports Engineering Manager in monitoring the Contractor’s progress on delivery of the required documents in the Process Engineering and flow assurance disciplines.
• Leads the development of Contractors Process Engineering and flow assurance activities.
• Leads the process engineering inputs for Masters Deliverables Regiser (MDR) including planning and scheduling of the Process deliverables to enable efficient project execution.
• Plans and schedules the Process engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with Qatargas operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
• Provides Process engineering leadership and expertise while supervising and administering Process team. Review and approval of EPC contractor engineering deliverables/ simulations/ calculations, study reports and etc.
• Performs process engineering and flow assurance studies, calculations, simulations, develop Basis of Design, Technical notes, adequacy assessment and etc. to support the project scope
• Maintains close liaison with appropriate members of Engineering Teams and gains alignment with the Engineering Manager on project engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
• Leads key design workshop and ensure that Process design recommendations are correctly implemented and actions closed (Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZID,HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect to the disciplines involved in delivery of the Process Engineering and ensures endorsement of Process Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
• Ensures quality assurance of the Process engineering and Flow Assurance activites deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule.
• General understanding of multi discipline engineering (mechanical/piping/ instrumentation /etc) and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contributes to the development of EPC Tender package development and technical evaluation.
• Accountable for being knowledgeable of lessons learned from previous projects with the same contractor and capturing and communicating Process engineering and design lessons learned for the current project.
