Job Title – Project Process Manager (SME – Refinery) Jobs in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Responsibilities:
- Works safely in all aspects of the job
- Participates with Business Development on oil & gas and chemical related opportunities
- Supports Business Development
- Prepares inputs for large proposals and or sales material.
- Participates in planning, cost estimating and scheduling for proposal and projects.
- Engages actively with clients and client representatives to early identify value additions to their operations and, or facilities. Participation in site visits to industrial facilities, job or work sites will be part of this engagement.
- Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity
- May have supervisory and administrative responsibility over group of process engineers or serve as process lead on large projects
- Identify project staff needs based on knowledge of individual engineer’s skill sets and provide requests to the Discipline manager
- Plan, organize and assign tasks, responsibilities, and manhour budgets to the discipline team, and verify tasks are completed within budgets
- Supervise and guide assigned engineers and coordinate with project Lead Designers for Discipline engineering and design deliverables
- Monitor project team performance and intervene or take corrective actions if so required.
- Lead and participate in the design & reviews of critical process units as a subject matter expert.
- Responsible for the engineering integrity and quality output on design deliverables of the assigned work area and, or team. Reviews and approves critical project specific Process deliverables.
- Strong drive on compliance with design processes and procedures such as management of change across all project design phases.
- Participate, coach and guide the team during design safety reviews.
- Maintain effective lines of communication with business line management as well as project team members and department manager on the assigned work area and, or job responsibilities.
- Take an active role in mentoring and developing engineers in the department by supporting the department manager:
- Develop communication and presentation skills within the team
- Present design solutions to the wider process group
- Present topics at the ‘lunch and learns’
- Write technical papers, participate in conferences and/or seminars
- Identify and provide training to staff in specific techniques and proprietary software
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced process engineers
- Support the wider business objective in localizing the workforce by sharing knowledge and experience through coaching, meetings as part of training on the job and more formal in pre-organized workshops and trainings.
Educational requirements:
- Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society
Experience requirements:
- Approximately 20 years of experience
- Outstanding Presentation skills
- Secondment experience
- Multi-office project execution experience
- Exposed to different technologies and Process software
- Experience in various project phases
- Demonstrated experience in leading areas of large capital projects
- Demonstrated experience in engineering work processes
- Operational working & troubleshooting experience will be added benefit
- Precommisioning/Commissioning experience will be added benefit
