Job Title -Data Privacy Innovation and Engineering Manager Jobs in NEOM City, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities :

Technology and Data Leadership	The Manager will provide vision and leadership for the Data Privacy Office in relation to all technology matters related to data privacy. They will work alongside the Operations, Legal and Policy & Governance teams within the Data Privacy Office to ensure that all areas of the Data Privacy Office are aware of and account for the latest technology trends and requirements. The role will cover all the latest technologies that are anticipated to be deployed in a cognitive city such as the Metaverse, CCTV’s, Biometrics and Artificial Intelligence. For example, in the area of AI it is expected that the manager will have the ability to engage with technology teams as an expert on the various AI models that exist and associated data privacy considerations (transparency, explainability etc.)
PETs	The Manager will be responsible for initiating a program of work in relation to privacy preserving technological safeguards (including Privacy Enhancing Technologies, or “PETs”). They will work with other areas of the Data Privacy Office, business stakeholders and Technology teams to identify opportunities to deploy appropriate PETs that enable use of personal data to provide world class services to residents and visitors in a manner that preserves privacy. They will also work closely with the Cyber Security Department in this regard. As appropriate they will support IT teams with the deployments of Pilots and Sandboxes.
Advanced Frameworks	The Manager will be responsible for developing / extending existing NEOM Company frameworks to account for new technologies such as AI. They will monitor developments in frameworks being developed in other regions and assess their suitability for NEOM after which they will develop the frameworks for NEOM and support their implementation.
Privacy By Design	The Manager will work closely with the Technology, Data Privacy Operations, Legal and Policy & Governance teams to further enhance NEOMs Privacy by Design approach acting as a subject matter expert. They will then educate product teams, engineers, data analysts on advanced privacy engineering requirements.
Research and Analysis	The Manager will be responsible for monitoring the technology landscape to ensure the Data Privacy Office is aware of technology trends and maintain a watch list of new technologies that should be monitored and kept under review.

Educational requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology and Innovation, Information, Technology, Law, or relevant education

Experience requirements:

10+ years in a similar managerial role in a technology role .

Extensive expertise and demonstrable work experience relating to current and emerging technologies in international data protection, e.g., in AI and data science, biometric technologies, online tracking, IoT, surveillance technologies and privacy enhancing technologies
Strong technology acumen and the application of technology in relation to high-risk processing
Experience in delivering and managing technology projects, performing analyses and developing recommendations

Experience of advising colleagues and providing briefings, particularly for those at the most senior levels, on technological matters and their practical and strategic implications.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Experience of writing policies and standards

Desired Skills:

Extensive expertise and demonstrable work experience relating to current and emerging technologies in international data protection, e.g., in AI and data science, biometric technologies, online tracking, IoT, surveillance technologies and privacy enhancing technologies
