Engineer – Job Responsibilities

• Support the manpower planning with the planner who is providing the project histogram baseline program.
• Provide the planner with productivity rates standards in order to prepare the Target plans on Daily / Monthly basis. This task will be carried out in coordination with the Cost Control Manager within the limit of the Company Standard.
• List the activities to be carried out by the own Pivot manpower and the activities to be carried out by the subcontractors. This task will be carried out in coordination with the Operations Director, Cost Control Manager, and Project Manager as required and minimum on monthly basis.
• Review the deployment reports as per the histograms of targets programs in order to achieve the maximum productivity of manpower and to ensure that the productivity level is achieved.
• Determine the gaps, if any, between the targets plans and the achieved productivity; and develop mitigation measures for the projects to implement.
• Establish weekly and monthly reports of productivity.
• Controlling and monitoring the overtime.

  Materials Utilization Productivity:

• Control the quantity of materials provided to operation for planned activities. Starting from stores including wastage allowances.
• Maintain a Database of materials wastage.
• Determine the variance between materials consumed against the wastage obtained for completed activities up to a defined stage.
• Develop remedial plans to minimize the wastage and contribute in the implementation of those plans with the concerned construction teams on site targeting a zero tolerance policy.
• Monitor and advise on the equipment utilization when reported from site in case an equipment is observed not utilized for a long period.

  Additional Tasks:

• Managing (Monitoring and controlling) attendance, deploying and transferring of employees and daily manpower reporting.
• Managing Mobilization and Demobilization plans in accordance with histograms.
• Monitoring and Controlling Leaves of employees.

Requirements

• B. Sc. Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Construction Contracting Company.
• Strong Monitoring & controlling skills required.
• Demonstrable capabilities to determine gaps & develop mitigation plans.
