Fabrication Senior Inspector – Job Description

• Ensure and promote Safety by implementing company HSE rules and specifications. Contribute in promoting safety culture by reporting safety observations;
• Monitor that necessary materials received are traceable with test certificates; fabricator has updated drawings and proper lifting equipment as well as welding equipment are available on site;
• Monitor compilation of Quality Control Reports issued during fabrication and any other document certifying the quality of the works in Quality Dossier with traceability of documents including indexing;
• Proactively liaise with construction on Quality Control related activities;
• Attend and participate in Welding Procedure/Welders Qualification Tests;
• Monitor implementation of applicable plans, procedures and any other documents;
• Monitor that the work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the contract specifications;
• Liaise with Lead, QA/QC Engineering in case of non-compliance and variances, or in the event of any deviation requested by the contractor;
• Ensure that, for his discipline and area, the quality assurance record books are properly documented and maintained by the contractor;
• Assess any deviations from approved quality control procedures or requirements requested by the contractor, and make appropriate recommendation to the Lead, QA/QC Engineering;
• Sign off Quality Control records and release the fabricated items upon ensuring conformity to applicable requirements. Interface and coordinate as necessary with relevant entities;
• Proactively, report Lead, QA/QC Engineering regularly and when decisions impacting E&C activities needs to be taken;
• Proactively identify any potential Quality failures and report to Lead QA/QC Engineering;
• Contribute to Vendor Performance evaluation by providing relevant statistics.

Fabrication Senior Inspector – Job Requirement

• Any Graduate or Diploma in engineering with at least 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry projects with QA/QC roles balanced between QA and QC disciplines, Should possess leadership skills and proactively identify and report potential nonconformities;
• Must be familiar and at ease with ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, NACE and have a minimum of level II certificate in RT, UT, MT, PT, good knowledge in PWHT, hold valid CSWIP welding & Painting certification.
