Facility Engineer – Job Description

• Provide continuous supervision of daily tasks, including site updates to the Facilities Manager & maintain superior quality of work. Identifying and resolving any problems that are identified within defined timeframes and to the required standards
• Communicate effectively in emergency situations and liaise with the client representative manager to address and resolve their concerns. Maintain, test and implement disaster planning procedures to cover all emergencies.
• To be responsible for and to ensure that adequate provision is made for emergency and out of hours cover and actively participate in resolving issues, where necessary
• Prepare site survey reports on daily basis and submit these to the line manager. Carry out site inspections regularly to assess the operation and condition of assets. Report and review issues with the line manager on a regular basis
• Prepare incident reports, conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to address issues identified
• Monitor energy consumption and implement the necessary conservation measures wherever possible
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality and Environment, Health & Safety policy and procedures.
• Establish and maintain high quality health and safety arrangements in accordance with best practice guidelines with central supports from Facilities Manager
• Supervise & monitor all installation & testing activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications & design guidelines
• Control the use of consumables and tools to achieve maximum efficiency while regulating the inventory and always maintain stock of critical/fast-moving spares. Ensure all tools and materials used for maintenance activities are kept in optimum working conditions at all times
• Maintain an asset register and lifecycle/condition survey report, ensuring these are kept up-to-date at all times
• Verify the preventive/ corrective maintenance service reports of in-house or sub-contractor, ensuring all works completed are in accordance with the requirements and upto the necessary service standards
• Organize daily/monthly inspection and PPM reports and submit these to the line manager, highlighting any issues that exist along with recommended corrective action

Facility Engineer – Job Requirement

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Managing VIP/private portfolios/projects with a good understanding of nature, privacy and time management
