Factory Manager – Joinery Division Job Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s programs and services
- Oversee daily production with the Production Manager and ensure work is completed.
- Educating all team members and continually assessing their working knowledge and abilities.
- Identify process improvements and deliver efficiency within the manufacturing sector of the business.
- Developing and maintaining productive client relationships
- Identify gaps in knowledge and organize training on technical procedures for key operational staff
- Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Co-ordinate with the project managers for project needs, plan & schedule production accordingly.
- Plans and details production schedules and ensures timely completion &preparing production status reports to senior management with organizing production line effectively and efficiently
- Directly responsible to senior management on all production control matters along with schedules, controls, creates and implements cost effective procedures
- Work with Project Manager in preparing and submit for consideration all material samples and specifications in accordance with the contract and company’s policies and procedures.
- Monitoring the Project Scope, ensuring that any on- site variation requests are reported and managed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Oversee any on-Site production and Installation, including the protection of installed items from damage. Monitoring the Production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
- Ensure that the company policy and procedures are maintained and implemented all the times. Whilst continuously seeking way to improve, refine and modify procedures.
- Recommend design improvements.
- Developing and maintaining productive client relationships
- Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
- Maintain high quality production methods
- Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing methods
- Continuous review of processes with aim of improving and implementing positive changes where appropriate in all areas including H&S, workshop efficiencies, planning, training and development
- Lead and influence other departments to ensure that technical matters are fully supported.
- To carry out the inspections of machinery and equipment.
- Carry out technical quality audits of products, documenting and reporting findings.
Requirements
- A professional individual with a cooperative attitude, even when under pressure.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in carpentry & joinery works and minimum 5-6 years relevant experience
- To be reactive to quality and technical concerns and have the ability to find resolutions in a timely manner.
- Experience in heading the training and development of operatives.
- Confident and clear communication skills (Oral & Written)
- A flexible approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Commercially minded and able to identify improvements
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Able to act on own initiative and proactive way
- Driving License is mandatory
