Job – Finance Trainee

Job Responsibilities:

Generate monthly P&L.

Support with variance analysis on monthly results (variances vs PY and Budget) and liaise with stakeholders to:
- Obtain reasons for variances.
- Ensure correction entries are posted if errors are identified; etc.

Support Senior Finance Business Partner in preparing the budgets and reviews.
Support in ensuring accuracy, validity and necessary approvals are obtained for invoices charged by vendor, processing invoices & regularly updating invoice tracker.
Track CAPEX movement, Fixed Asset Register & support in communicating the monthly committed CAPEX.

Update the monthly tracker for accounting reclasses and accruals.
Support to prepare the board meeting presentations & monthly highlights presentations.
Support in documenting processes and user manuals for specific tasks.

Support Senior Finance Business Partner with ad-hoc reporting requirements or projects.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CIMA/ACMA preferred) or Finance.
Excel knowledge must be advanced – this is essential (experience in handling large scale and complex data sets)

Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Nav, Qlik/Microsoft BI.
Detail orientated, well organized, focused, able to readily adapt and lead in a changing environment.
Strong communication and are good at building relationships.

Self-starter who takes initiative, is pro-active and makes proposal of process improvement and/or tool development.
