Job – MANAGER QUANTITY SURVEYORS

Job Description & Qualifications  :

Parsons is looking for talented Manager Quantity Surveyors (MQS) to join our team! In this role you will develop, manage and execute all estimating activities for one or more of the large, most complex and demanding projects. The ideal candidate will participate in the review and approval of works in progress reports, interim payments, project variations and other commercial/contractual matters. The MQS will assist the Contract Administration Manager in the analysis and evaluation of all contractor changes, claims and other cost and contractual matters.

What You will Be Doing:

  • Provide support to the Contract Administration Manager on all commercial and contractual matters throughout project duration.
  • Participate in all commercial and contractual meetings and ensure prompt submittal and completeness of Contractors monthly payment applications and assist the Contract Administration Manager in managing the payment certificates.
  • Maintain and streamline all cost / quantities records.
  • Advise the Construction Manager on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
  • Evaluate the unit rates for new work items and present to the Contract Administration Manager for review.
  • Assist in the review, negotiation and preparation of claim settlements with the Commercial / Contracts team.
  • Assist the Commercial / Contracts team in the preparation of variation orders.
  • Participate in the evaluation of contractual claims for review by the Contract Administration Manager.
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of entitlement of Contractor’s claims for review and issuance by the Contract Administration Manager
  • Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
  • Assist the Contracts team in the preparation of financial statements for monthly reports.
  • Auditing of payments to Contractors.
  • Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
  • Participate in the preparation of Final Account with all supporting documentation.

What Required Skills You will Bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management from western University with a minimum of 15 years demonstrable experience in Quantity Surveying, estimating and Contract Administration on major infrastructure projects preferably in KSA and/or the GCC region.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of FIDIC forms of Contract.

What Desired Skills You will Bring:

  • Knowledge of pre and post contract administration.
  • Negotiation skills and able to prepare commercial and contractual reports.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
