Job – SENIOR DOCUMENT CONTROLLER
Job Description & Qualifications :
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Document Controller will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the document and drawing control systems.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommends data automation hardware and software systems and improvements necessary for efficient documentation and control of documents dispatched from, and sent to, the project.
- Develops written document control procedures that ensure system efficiency.
- Supervises subordinates in their dispatch, receipt, recording, distribution, and filing of documents using data automation hardware and software at all project locations.
- Ensures that subordinates and project personnel are trained in the document retrieval process.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- College level education is preferred.
- Experience with data entry is preferred.
- High school diploma is required.
- Four years experience in a supervisory position is required.
- Detailed knowledge of, and two years experience with, a database management system are required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success on the job as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility, and growth in previous position
- Experience in a construction, planning, or design, organization in a technical or administrative capacity is preferred.
