Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose

• Develop and complete the related planning activities for the upcoming drilling programs and perform conceptual engineering, planning and project interface with key stakeholders to ensure drilling execution readiness.

Reporting and Relationships – I

• Reports to Head of Project Interface

Internal

• Regular contact with the D&C Engineering team and all Subsurface functions, Project Teams, Development Planning and Operations.

External

• Periodic contact with QG Shareholders, Contractors, Suppliers and other 3rd party service providers.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s) – I

• Diverse mix of activities and well designs (e.g., spare slot vs. new wellhead platforms, monobore vs. OBB well designs, standard vs. sub-horizontal (SHZ) well architecture).
• NFPS drilling and completions will be conducted among increasingly congested facilities and in increasingly depleted reservoirs – increasing risk and complexity.
• NFPS comprised of many smaller projects; more complex interfaces among organizations and increasing requirements for planning and administration.
• NFE SHZ wells are longer and more complex than current QG2 SHZ wells. New rigs starting up in very rapid succession.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s) – II

• Specialized expertise required for certain critical activities and work scope (e.g., fluids engineering, coiled tubing completions, well testing).
• Accelerated schedule for tendering additional rigs to capture current market.
• Fast ramp up with service companies who have demonstrated a “lean” mindset for supporting current two rigs.

Key Job Accountabilities – I

• Contribute to the planning phase of new drilling programs through the well planning process (WPP) by providing drilling & completion inputs and key well design parameters.
• Interface with key project stakeholders to ensure executable and up to date rig schedule.
• Conduct technical assessments on project designs to ensure alignment with well designs and rig specifications.
• Contribute to the performance of conceptual engineering design for new wells and the preparation of early cost estimates and funding requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities – II

• Provide support regarding the procurement process to ensure availability of equipment at the time of execution.
• Participate in conducting technical reviews for geophysical and geotechnical site surveys and work with technical experts to verify platform locations suitability for safe rig approach.
• Prepare rig move plans to ensure risks are identified and mitigated.
• Lead key interfaces with other operators in the field to align drilling activities

Part B: Person Specification – Minimum Requirement

Qualifications

• B. Sc. Engineering Degree.

Knowledge and/or Experience – I

• 6 years of drilling and/or drilling planning experience with knowledge of drilling operations and equipment.
• Knowledge and experience in geophysical and geotechnical survey assessment for rig placement and rig structural engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience – II

• Experience with hydrogen sulphide well designs and safety practices.
• Knowledge of safe and environmentally sound well construction practices.

Technical and Business Skills – I

• Strong verbal and written skills in English.
• Computer literacy including (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) as well as functional specific software (Well View, Landmark – Compass, WellCat, SAP, etc.)
• Basic skills in utilizing “CAD – Computer Aided Design” software.
