Responsibilities :

- Contribute to the design and implementation of NEOM’s power grid infrastructure strategic objectives and goals by implementing near, medium, and long-term solutions at the lowest costs
- Lead coordination for the development of owner’s requirements and design principles for the co-location and interfacing of linear infrastructure (water transmission pipelines, underground cables, overhead transmission lines, telecom cables, Railway system, etc) across several NEOM sectors.
- Review design calculations, drawings and verification studies submitted by design consultants
- Provide review feedback in time and proactively engage with both internal and external stakeholders for resolution of review feedback
- Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules, and execution plans
- Share lesson learned with the wider teams.
- Help develop and implement standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure a comprehensive delivery of expert services, systems, and outcomes
- Prepare reports and present findings to senior management
- Manage the interface with contractors and consultants
- Planning and Strategy
Interfacing with government agencies and investors
- Develop synergy with local and international organizations with involvement in design and simulation tools to keep NEOM up-to-date with the digital industry

Educational requirements:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electromechanical or water/gas engineering or any relevant engineering discipline

Experience requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
Experience in the middle east would be desirable
Demonstrated experience in projects involving one or some of the following areas:

Familiar with master planning activities in a dense city environment
Have a practical understanding of electricity transmission infrastructure projects, perhaps with a background in design or project delivery of linear infrastructure in a city environment.

Desired Skills:

Understanding of the electrical and civil elements of transmission infrastructure.

Design and layout linear transmission and distribution infrastructure, underground cabling, water transmission pipelines, and overhead lines
Integration of various transmission and transmission water and electricity infrastructure into shared infrastructure corridors
Management activities including tracking budgets, status and milestone reports, and client interactions

Design and execute test plans, build and qualify test apparatus for use, document methods and assumptions, and prepare reports and presentations

Qualifications:

A master’s degree in one of the above fields is also desirable

Fluent in English
Has demonstrated multiple sector coordination
