SIMOPS HSE Engineer (HSE) – Job Description

SIMOPS HSE Engineer (HSE) – Job Requirement

• During FEED, detailed Engineering and Construction phases
• Works in close cooperation with the involved Projects packages Lead
• Participates to HAZOP, HAZID, PRs, JRA as required
• Evaluate and monitor the impact on production of the proposed modifications by construction team – especially the tie-ins on brownfield facilities (piping, electricity, instrumentation, structure, ICSS)
• Participates / gets involved in Constructability/operability/maintainability studies
• Follow and carries out the risk assessments prior construction phase to evaluate and mitigate the risk associated to SimOps/COMOPS.
• Proposes realistic solutions to maximize the Offshore works to be performed by Contractor safely.
• Liaises with HSEQ to prepare and review the safety aspects of the SimOps/COMOPS preparation (DRA/HAZID/SRA, etc).
• Liaises with the Package engineer to prepare and review the co-activities during the preparation of the SimOps/COMOPS SOW on the Brownfield/Greenfield.
• Ensures the proper anticipation and facilitation of future SIMOPS/COMOPS activities by:

1. Revise the Shutdown strategy with the other COMPANY stake holder (SD campaign / E&C)
2. Revise the Drilling strategy and identify the possible SIMOPS
3. Reviewing Offshore installation Hook-up /Pre-commissioning / Commissioning/start-up planning (Brownfield modification /Greenfield)
4. Assist SIMOPS lead for the appliance of the SIMOPS philosophy, considering the increase of activities on the brownfield (POB, hot work with naked flame, heavy lift operations, etc…)
5. Assist SIMOPS lead for the proper level of information between all entities involved during the execution of the Offshore campaign – HSEQ, FOPS , Logistic, Drilling and Wells, Engineering & Construction , Marine
6. Define and prepare of a SIMOPS/COMOPS strategy procedure for each EPCIC
7. Elaborate the procedures required to lunch the SIMOPS on site (SSI , SIMOPS/COMOPS Matrix, POB Management , PTW Management , ERP diagrams….)
8. Contributing and ensuring a proper SimOps induction (video, booklets..) is in place
9. Liaise with site FOPS Team to align on PTW procedure, isolation plans for brownfield works.
10. Work as a link from Major Project with the FOPS site for any requirement.
11. Assist SIMOPS lead for construction and elaboration of SIMOPS dossier (review of contractor document end validation as per North Oil rules and requirement)
12. In case of increased activity, he will attend the meeting and share information to Hierarchy
