Assistant Manager Finance – Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of OA Financials:
  • Ensures full compliance with the JOP Law and Directions therein
  • Develops/Coordinates/Facilitates registration of finance related activities for OA
  • Develops, manages, implements governing documents related to finance that are required for managing the OA
  • Attend Owners Committee Meetings for OA related businesses and maintains a positive relationship with Owners Committee & Homeowners/Residents
  • Manages OA Financials, OA insurances and related claims execution
  • Manages and ensures comprehensive records and systems are appropriately kept and filed (record keeping in line with the JOP Law and Directions therein).
  • Manages reviews and implements methods for regular finance related communications or updates with members of the OA, Owners Committee, residents etc.
  • Liaises with government authorities and banks on issues pertaining to the OA financial, as often or as required from time to time.
  • Provide professional consultations to Owners Committee on financial matters as and when required
  • Introduce, uphold and enforce community governance strategies
  • Manage government relations, legal support and local authorities’ liaison
  • Works towards accomplishing SCM’s KPIs & MBOs.
  • Reviews and ensures service levels are being maintained.
  • Investigates and resolves issues raised by direct reports, homeowners, residents and service providers on community finance related matters.
  • Ensures regular communication is in place for the community with respect to community financials
  • Prioritizes and plans tasks well and completes tasks within set deadlines.
  • Ensures all finance statutory requirements are fulfilled and up to date.
  • Reviews and suggests initiatives to increase community income and cost savings.
  • Uses approved systems and processes to carry out day to day activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree (in finance)
  • Certified Management Accountant / Chartered Management Accountant
  • M-100 or CMCA certification (preferred)
